It's July and it's finally HOT!

It's July!

Yes...it's finally "summer" here in the PNW. The heat is on. We're vacationing, gardening and yarning.

I love the attitude of die-hard knitters & crocheters.

  • The weather won't seem to change over from spring to summer. No worries. They knit.

  • Tempertures shoot into the 90's. No worries. They crochet.

  • It's too hot to knit afghans. Shoooot. Give folks socks, a tank top or a Fixation tankini and yarnies are there.

Our Yarn of the month is Cascade's light weight Sierra.
The fiber content is 80% pima cotton and 20% wool. And it comes in 80 colors! We carry several in the shop and we have the color card on hand for you to choose a custom color.
Receive 10% off all month long!

Our patterns of the month come from Oat Couture and are quite fitting for the intense heat. This beautiful tank can be knit or crochet.

Our gadget of the month is a fun one. Many of us like to sip a little Chablis while knitting/crocheting. You're with friends. It's the end of the day. The lights are low. (Well, not too low.) The music jazz is smooth. But who's glass belongs to whom???
Try these wine glass markers with cute little yarny charms!

Our book of the month is the classic Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Knitting Without Tears". Zimmerman's book is popular because it's great for new and experienced knitters.

Enjoy July with Yorkie Yarns by taking a class you've been "dyeing" to attend. Comes see our summer yarns and whip up something quick and easy for our 2 days of summer. *smirk*

One of the highlights during our heatwave is when many of us get together for Stitch N Pitch on August 7th. Yorkie Yarns has a block of 30 seats. This should be a blast! Call and get yours at YY while supplies last.

Have safe and great 4th!
