FINALLY! Noro Sock yarn is in at Yorkie Yarns!

Folks, it's trickling in but I finally got a shipment of Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn. The colors are to DIE for.
Noro is known for their long, vibrant color way and once again, they didn't let us down. Now, you don't have to knit just sox with this magnificent stuff. I've seen sweaters, fingerless gloves, hats and a few more things on Ravelry knitted out of this yarn. (What!? You're not familiar with Ravelry? Go check it out.) Anyway, Kureyon is getting rave reviews! Come see! Come see!

Also, I just received Karabella Margrite (80% Extrafine Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere).
Margrite is ridiculously soft.
The Cable Hat & Scarf Margrite pattern pictured below is available at YY as well.

Don't forget! We have 3 great classes lined-up for this weekend.
THIS Saturday, January 26th

Knit 2 Socks on 2 Needles - Part 1 10:30am - 12:30pm
Description: Have you ever knitted "A" sock and never finished the 2nd one? That's called 2nd sock syndrome. And I've got it bad! That's why I'm excited about our 2 socks on 2 circular needles class. ***This is part one of a two-session class. The second class is Sat., Feb. 9th at 10:30am.
We'll teach you how to knit 2 socks at the same time. And when you're done, you're DONE....with TWO socks. Class materials list provided upon registration. Cost: $50 Instructor: Jodi

Beginning Knitting 10:30am - 12:30pm
Description: Beginning knitters will learn to knit, purl, cast-on & cast-off. $25.00 Materials: 1 skein worsted weight yarn & size 7 or 8 needles kits available upon request

Crochet for Knitters 3pm - 5pm Description: Are you tired of shying away from beautiful knitted projects because they call for a few crochet stitches? We will start with basic crochet stitches (those most commonly used in finishing) and will work our way to beautiful edging - perfect for gracing the neckline or button bands of sweaters or the edges of hats, sleeves - - the possibilities are endless! After this class, you will look at each pattern with "fresh" eyes, opening a new needlework 'frontier'! Instructor: Jodi Class Fee: $25 Materials & homework list provided at registration.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who comes to the Hooks & Needles Club on Monday nights. It's packed every week with about 20-30 knitters/crocheters. It's nice to know no matter what's happening in our crazy world we still get together to just enjoy our crafts & eachother's company.
Gas prices? It's enough to give you gas. A recession? Who knows. An historical/hysterical election? Wow. Britney Spears shops for pregnancy test kits? uh....no comment.
Whatever ails ya or makes you go, "hmmm...." at least we have yarn!

God bless and have a great week, peeps.
