Hey, all!

It's almost Tuesday already and we're off to a running start this week at Yorkshire Yarns. This is a quickie email to fill you in on the happenings at YY.

1. We're starting a new birthday celebration program. During your birthday week we'll give you 20% off your next purchase just to say thanks for growing old w/us. (NOPE. This does not include sale items. Saaaaaaawy!) There's just one catch. Well, two. You must be on our email list and you must send your birth date back to me via email. Relax. I'm not interested in your birth year. (We have one customer who swears she learned to knit during her trip on the Ark. heh...heh..) Anyway, if you're old enough to knit that's good enough for me. And I promise not to post your business on our blog. *wink*

2. Beginning Monday, August 27th, we're having our first weekly Military Spouses Needle-worker's Club. We'll crochet, knit & chat from 11-1pm. No need to RSVP. Just show-up and prepare to relax and have some girl time.

3. Crochet & chat on Friday's from 1-3pm.

4. This week's classes include:
Tues/Thurs- Beginning Sock class at 1
Wed- Beginning Crochet class at 1
Saturday- Beginning Knitting at 1

***ALL classes have limited space and require reservations as each fills-up quickly.

For calendar details visit or call 253-589-9276.

Have a great week, people. I surely plan to do so. Join me. Won't you?

They're new. They're Charming. And they're in at Yorkie Yarns!

Harry Potter fans, the wait is over. The new "Charmed Knits" projects book is in at Yorkshire Yarns. I ordered several books along w/the corresponding yarn & colors for each pattern.

I confess, I've not read nor have I seen any HP books or movies, respectively. I mean, come on. Who has time??? For example, tonight we had family night at the movies and guessed it...."The Simpson's". Trust me. It was killin' me sitting through that movie knowing "The Bourne Supremacy" was playing in the cinema next to us. *sigh* I digress.

Aaaaaaaaanyway, you've gotta see these books. As the kids would say, "They're tight. They're siiiiiiiick!"

The skill levels for the patterns range from beginner to psycho experienced. It's time to look ahead for BACK TO SCHOOL. I'm knitting one of the HP scarves for my daughter's 1st day in middle school. I'm quite sure her new, cool, tight, sick scarf will catapult her to the top of the popularity food chain. Hey, it could do the same for your darling divas as well. :-) Even better, this book is inspiration for young hands to start knitting!

I'm selling the merchandise quickly so you should hurry and come in and get the hook-up before I run out of books & yarn. (eh...that means "get your copy today!")

okay...that's enough cool talk for me. My brain is tired.
